who said dust bunnies have to be inanimate?

manual focus, about 5cm away or so
6 seconds @ f2.8
natural colours, only edits are: cropping, resizing, removal of one very distracting piece of dust on the left, and 180° rotation (originally, the spider was upside down. a friend suggested that it looked funny that way and upon rotation it came out looking threatening and scary, and was kept as such ).
border is the dusty out-of-focus background from another one of the 15 pictures i took for this shot (focus was a bitch! low light and autofocus wasn't picking the spider up.. my eyes were having trouble seeing it too).

found this little guy in a cobweb it'd made for itself between my phone cord and the ground. the spider is about a centimeter wide as it appears in this picture.
3rd spider i've killed in my apartment today, 4th in the past 2 days ever since i found what i presume to be its mother crawling across my floor. HUGE spider. scared the crap out of me. that's another story.
actually this guy was given about a month. i found the cobweb back in october but didnt see any spider on it, shrugged and said whatever he's on the other side of the room from where my bed is.
and then after the spider from a few days back i gave a closer look and found the little spider there, but still didnt care enough to kill it; it seemed harmless and definitely was.
i found another spider in my living room today from a different species (if you read my LJ today i've got 2 pics up). then i started looking at pictures of spiders to both identify it and send them to liz, with whom i was having a convo about spiders with at the time. then i found a picture with a big daddy longlegs, pretty much the same one that was in here a couple of nights ago, surrounded by dozens of its kin. and i realized those little spiders were exactly the same as the little spider next to my dresser, so i was like ahhhhh the big spider already had its kids! so i went and killed it + another one i found next to my bed, and im sure there's many more to be found

Az emberek már csak ilyenek: mindig módot találnak arra, hogy több szenvedést okozzanak azoknak, akiket szeretnek, és akikre büszkék, mint azoknak, akiket utálnak vagy megvetnek.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
